Israeli-"Palestinian" Arab Conflict Briefing

Despite the "Palestinians'" continuing violation of a promised cease-fire by "Palestinian" Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, United States (U.S.) Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice at a joint press conference with the PA Chairman on June 18, 2002, said the Bush administration “applauds” the reforms beginning to take place in the "Palestinian" Authority, though “there was a lot more to do.” (1)   Secretary Rice promised PA Chairman Abbas that the U.S. would help build "Palestinian" infrastructrue and noted “The United States was proud to be the Number One donor to the Authority.” (2)

PA Chairman Abbas was the democratically-elected leader of the "Palestinian" people, “a man of peace…His government seeks peace and the policy of the U.S. is to support it,” said Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. (3)

However, as the Bush Administration and the Department of State continue to delude themselves, Americans, and the world, Israelis daily have been under attack from "Palestinian" terrorists since Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has come to power.  Israeli citizens are threatened with death from rocket and mortar rounds and suicide bombers.

Furthermore, the Bush Administration continues to provide financial aid to the "Palestinians"— quietly bracing for the prospect of collapse and unprecedented violence by members of the ruling Fatah movement in the PA. (4)

In many cases bolstered by Western aid and training, the loyalty of the police and security forces cannot be counted on to stop the chaos in the "Palestinian" areas acknowledge PA leaders.

Security officers who have joined Fatah operations in extortion and other criminal activities have been included in many of the gun battles that rage through "Palestinian" cities the PA reports.

PA leaders have sought to appease Fatah factions and have offered them employment and housing while promising security commanders that they would delay or revise plans to reform the security service rather than order an offensive to stop the violence.  And senior PA officials, simultaneously, have used the official media to blame for the violence Israel and recycle canards used prior to the "Palestinian" war in 2000.

The purpose of this section will be to provide daily articles exposing the charade and lies of the Bush Administration and the State Department led by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that "Palestinian" Chairman Mahmoud Abbas is committed to peace, that there is no cease-fire by the "Palestinian" terrorists since the PA Chairman has come to power, that the U.S. should not be providing financial aid to the PA, and how Israel does not have a partner in the euphemistic peace process.
