Hillary's Hypocrisy on Illegal Aliens

By Joel P. Rutkowski, Ph.D., President

In her first national interview of her Presidential campaign, former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (D) slammed Donald Trump for his comments on Mexican illegal aliens.

In the interview with CNN's Brianna Keilar Clinton said, “I'm very disappointed in those comments, and I feel very bad and very disappointed with him and with the Republican Party for not responding immediately and saying, 'Enough, stop." (1) To Trump's comments attributing rampant crime to illegal aliens from Mexico, Clinton was referring to.

On immigration, Clinton sought to link Trump, a GOP White House hopeful, to the Republican Party as a whole saying, "They are all in the same general area on immigration." (2)

Earlier in the day, on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at a public event attended by several hundred supporters at the Iowa City Public Library, Clinton blasted Republicans for opposing a pathway to citizenship for those in the country illegally.  She said, "I don't care how many people running for President on the Republican side try to demean immigrants, insult immigrants, cast aspersions on immigrants.  We are not going to deport 11 or 12 million people. ... The Republican candidates, and it's not just the ones who are most vitriolic, none of them support a path to citizenship. All of them would basically resign them to a life as second-class citizens.” (3)

If elected President, Clinton said she would return to the immigration bill passed in 2010 by the Senate but failed in the House of Representatives.  She said, “That would be my  starting point.  Let's vote for it again.” (4)

During her 2008 run for President Mrs. Clinton opposed driver's licenses for illegal aliens but later reversed her position.  She voted for legalization bills in 2006, and in 2007 she voted for legalization bills as senator.  However, for constructing a border fence she voted for it.  (5)

As a senator in a 2003 Nevada radio interview Hillary, when asked about the issue of illegal immigration, which at the time was a hot button in the state replied, “I am, you know, adamantly against illegal immigrants.” (6)

Criminal Activity And Illegal Aliens

To control this nation's borders and determine who enters America is one of the federal government's constitutional core responsibilities. Today's untenable situation of over 11 million illegal aliens present in the U.S. is the direct result of the government's consistent failure at this task.  The federal government has failed to reform its broken visa system to ensure that those who come to the U.S. on temporary visas do not stay here permanently but more importantly have left the nation's borders unsecure.

President Barack Obama has sent an unmistakable message to the American people that he will not enforce this nation's laws as he has moved the U.S. from enforcement of immigration laws. For example, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the agency that handles detention and removal of illegal aliens, said it released another 30,558 illegals with criminal records in 2014, following the 36,007 it released in 2013. (7).  Also, according to government data released on Monday, June 15, 2015, more than 100 immigrants whom the Obama administration released back into the community went on to be charged with subsequent killings. (8)

President Barack Obama's sympathetic amnesty narrative lie that illegal aliens are  “workers who mow our lawns, make or beds (and) clean out bedpans,” can be put to rest by arrests of murders MS-13 gansters.  On racketeering conspiracy charges, along with charges of murder, attempted murder and firearms violations, authorities on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, arrested 37 MS-13 gang members in Charlotte, North Carolina.  From El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala all are illegal aliens.  These arrests also prove that the nation's borders are porous and unsecured as several of these criminals came to the U.S. illegally, committed crimes, were deported and came back illegally.

After some of these foreign gangsters started shooting up local nightclubs and bars, Charlotte police discovered their haven.

Much of the money these illegal alien criminals raise from illegal gang activity is wired back to El Salvador to arrange for even more gangsters to come across the border indicated the indictment.

Through remittances that Obama has made less expensive and easier for illegals to send through new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau rules on banks, the funds are wired back to Central America.

Prosecutors said in a statement, "The alleged MS-13 gang members have committed numerous violent crimes, including armed robberies, assaults, and murders, for the benefit of the criminal enterprise." (9)

In the indictment the catalog of their alleged crimes accounts for 17 pages.  Suspected gang members charged with "illegal re-entry by an aggravated felon," or entering the U.S. illegally after they had already been deported were listed on several pages.  And under Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) executive order for younger illegal aliens it is not immediately clear if any of the suspects had been given amnesty.

However, on the heels of the deferred deportation the Obama administration granted to vicious Charlotte gangster Emmanuel Jesus Rangel-Hernandez, the arrests come. Following drug charges, Rangel-Hernandez, 19, was placed in the removal process in March 2012.  However, even though it knew of his gang membership the Obama administration shielded him from removal.  Tragically, murders of four Charlotte residents, including former "America's Next Top Model" contestant Mirjana Puhar, Emmanuel Jesus Rangel-Hernandez has been charged with.

Furthermore, in New York authorities arrested a reputed MS-13 gang member wanted for execution-style murders. On Tuesday, May 19, 2015, police in Atlanta, Georgia arrested three members of MS-13, 22-year-old Arnolvin Umanzor Velasquez, charging him and two co-defendants — Edwin Acosta-Martinez and Sergio Cerna — with three murders, four attempted murders and multiple racketeering offenses.

Terrorizing Los Angeles, Chicago and the nation's capital are these illegal alien gangsters.  Within the last two years hundreds have been arrested in Los Angeles that were MS-13 originated and have spread to states across the nation.

Ignited by the shocking murder of Kathryn Steinle by often deported illegal alien with seven felony convictions Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez  as she walked with her father along Pier 14 is outrage of the Democrat campaign to relax national, state and local deportation policies. Lopez-Sanchez who has seven prior felony convictions and has been deported five times told KGO-TV that the shooting was an accident. (10)

The Obama administration was slammed for turning federal requests to detain illegal immigrants into “something voluntary” and “releasing criminals back onto the streets.” by House Judiciary Committee Chairman U.S. Representative of Virginia Robert Goodlatte (R).  He said,  “This administration is not enforcing our immigration laws. And, quite frankly, I don't think they care.” (11)

By faulting Republicans for opposing Democrat-sponsored comprehensive immigration reform legislation, which GOP lawmakers have dismissed as an amnesty program the White House moved to shift the blame to Republicans.

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said, “The President has done everything within his power to make sure that we're focusing our law enforcement resources on criminals and those who pose a threat to public safety. It's because of the political efforts of Republicans that we have not been able to make the kind of investment that we would like to make in securing our border and keeping our communities safe.”  The media needs to hold President Obama accountable for these lies.  He has done everything for the illegal aliens as he condemns Americans for resisting his efforts.

Final Thoughts

In 1986 President Ronald Reagan signed into the law the Simpson-Mazzoli Immigration Reform Act that granted to 3.0 million illegal aliens unambiguous amnesty.  The 1986 law promised border security and prosecution of employers who hired illegal aliens.  Calculatingly ignored, the law has not been enforced and now there are at minimum 11 million illegal aliens demanding legalization.  President Obama, his Marxist Democrats, and establishment Republicans are fundamentally transforming America and not for the better.  If one thinks America is a nation in decline today how will it look after amnesty is granted?

President Obama's actions and executive orders on immigration and amnesty in the future would only encourage further illegal immigration, undermine efforts to uphold the rule of law, and damage efforts for meaningful immigration reform.  For example, during the month of May, data from U.S. Customs and Border Patrol shows that daily about 128 unaccompanied illegal alien children were apprehended at the Southwest U.S. border. During that month alone, in total 3,965 children were crossing the U.S. Mexico border illegally. (12)

Once again Hillary Clinton demonstrates she is a person that lacks credibility, and is a hypocrite that hates America and the American people as she panders to Hispanic voters in an attempt to get elected President.   (Video: Hillary Clinton's dramatic flip-flop on illegal immigration.)  Her plan for amnesty for illegal aliens would cost the U.S. trillions of dollars as those given amnesty would gain access to a wide-range of government entitlements and welfare programs driving the U.S. further into debt and adding huge costs to these already broken immigration programs.

Americans must not allow Hillary Clinton, President Obama, their Marxist Democrats, establishment Republicans, and the media to define the immigration debate.  Instead Americans should support candidates that say they will fix the border security problems which is an urgent priority, not amnesty for illegal aliens.  As a national security priority (a necessity of the global war on terror),   Congress, President Obama, and the next President should do all they can to enforce current immigration law and fortify the borders.  And if after a few years it is found that the border is permanently secure, debate on comprehensive immigration reform could begin.
