Contrary to arguments many politicians use
to convince their constituencies, excessive federal government spending
has never answered the problems that afflict this nation. Simple principles
that involve a concrete methodology (steps) should be reflected in
the vision of federal appropriation.
This can be accomplished by re-establishing
federalism, reducing the size of government, and reforming the federal
budget and accounting practices to conform as closely as possible
to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) established by
the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and audited
by an independent private-sector accounting firm on a regular basis.
It is time to reverse 100 years of government
growth, accounting chicanery and fiscal management.
