District of Columbia Personal Protection Act (H.R. 3193)

The District of Columbia Personal Protection Act (H.R. 3193) [Full text of legislation.] was approved on Wednesday, September 29, 2004, by the House of Representatives overwhelmingly to repeal a law banning most handguns in Washington D.C. Lawmakers declared that the U.S. capital would be safer with more guns and fewer gun laws.
