FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018 (H.R.4)

FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018 (H.R.4)

 

The House of Representatives on Thursday, April 26, 2018, defeated an amendment to the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018 (H.R.4; Text of Legislation) on an 192-223 (To view how your representative voted visit: 155).  The measure sought to give the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rather than the International Civil Aviation Organization, a United Nations body that sets global rules for non-military aviation, primary authority to set rules for shipping flammable lithium batteries on U.S. cargo flights.
