On Thursday, April 27, 2017, the Fannie and Freddie Open Records Act of 2017115th  Congress (2017-2018) [H.R.1694; Text of Legislation] was approved by the House of Representatives on a 425-0 vote (To view how your representative voted visit: 233).   The measure would require that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac would be subject to Freedom of Information Act requirements for responding to requests from the public for the release of agency documents that reveal details of Fannie and Freddie’s operations.

A bill to repeal the rule issued by the Federal Highway Administration and the Federal Transit Administration entitled "Metropolitan Planning Organization Coordination and Planning Area Reform" (S.496)

 

The "Metropolitan Planning Organization Coordination and Planning Area Reform" Repeal Act (S.496; Text of Legislation) was passed by the House of Representatives on Thursday, April 27, 2017, on a 417-3 vote  (To view how your representative voted visit: 231).   A Federal Highway Administration and Federal Transit Administration rule issued in December 2016 that mandated expanded size and authority for Metropolitan Planning Organization urban transportation areas across the country would be repealed by the measure.
