The American Voice
Institute of Public Policy is not in favor of the McCain-Feingold
legislation which would ban unlimited, unregulated "soft money"
contributions to political parties by corporations, unions and wealthy
individuals and regulate issue ads paid for by independent groups
to target specific constituencies before elections.
Believing that
the proposed legislation would place restrictions on First Amendment
rights of free speech, the American Voice Institute of Public Policy
is joining several nonprofit advocacy organizations in opposing the
McCain-Feingold plan for campaign finance reform.
